  • “I think for me, when I write songs I try to stick to what I know, so I end up writing a lot of songs about my life.and things to happened to me  And I think it’s the most amazing feeling when you’ve written a song and you say exactly how you feel. Sometimes it gets complicated because sometimes you’re not just feeling one thing. Sometimes it gets chaotic in your head. And this tends to happen when you’re losing somebody or trying to forget about somebody. One time that happened to me, and I was feeling so much that I couldn’t really figure out how to say it in a song. And so I decided that maybe the best thing to do might be to just write down exactly what happened, because I remembered it all.”

  • “There’s going to be a lot of one particular color that you’re going to see A LOT. You’re going to see it maybe on microphones, and on finger nails and shoes, and on like lights and stuff and all kinds of stuff, and you might wonder to yourself, “man that’s a lot of one color, whats with the one color?” and I will explain it to you now! The way I see emotions in my head, I kinda compare them to colors, like for me, blue is sad. To me, like um yellow and gold, that’s comfort and warmth. There’s this one color that defines a lot of the emotions that I’ve been writing about lately. Really great emotions like frustrations, anger, jealousy, falling in love, falling out of love, heartbreak. All that good stuff, and you know, I wrote about that stuff so much that I even named an entire album after it, and I even went so far as to name an entire world tour after it. Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls, the colors that defines the emotions that shape us, that teach us things. I think there’s one color that represents the most important things, and that color is RED.”
